We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and proactive After School Club Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children at the end of the school day. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and supporting their play, learning, and wellbeing.

Working Hours
Monday-Friday 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Term time only.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in a variety of fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
• Collect children from School next door at School pickup time and bring them over to the setting.
• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality play opportunities.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere.
• Build warm and professional relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

• Is friendly, patient, and passionate about working with children.
• Has experience working in an educational, childcare, or playwork setting (desirable).
• Holds or is working toward a relevant childcare/playwork qualification (Level 2 or above desirable, but not essential).
• Is reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing.
• Is willing to undertake necessary training, including First Aid and Safeguarding.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare
• NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, Degree in Teaching/ Early Years (required)
• Proven experience in S.E.N. within a childcare setting.
